Pecan Cottage 2012 Fall is in the Air
It has been nearly 3 years since 530 North Pecan in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma took on the name “Pecan Cottage” and became the setting for an unusual Bed & Breakfast.
Many people still ask “What is a Chick Trip?” Well, simply put, it is when 2 to 4 gals decide to leave their everyday lives behind and take a few days for themselves to do what they want, when they want, without having to worry about family or work responsibilities. Pecan Cottage B & B is just the place because it is fully equipped and very private.
Whether it is a few friends who have a passion for scrapbooking; Moms and grown daughters who want to spend some special time together; sisters from all over who meet for the weekend to catch up on their lives; girlfriends who just need some time for themselves; or a couple who need a break alone together, Pecan Cottage fills all those needs.
Not only are the pantry and refrigerator kept filled to overflowing with munchies, meals and beverages but Pauls Valley is very centrally located and no matter what you like to do it is probably available in town or nearby. Wineries, casinos, history centers, lakes, golf, and incredible scenery are a few ideas; then add PaulsValley’s own chocolate factory, pie factory, and special shopping.
This lovely 1948 Craftsman-style 2 bedroom cottage sits on a shady corner lot in the middle of a pleasant neighborhood where the western view is farmland.
As with many homes in rural Oklahoma, the back door is the main entrance and it opens into an immense kitchen and eating area with a vaulted cedar ceiling, double glass front hutches, and a center island.
The lot is covered with large pecan trees, Mimosa, Dogwood, Azaleas and many flowering shrubs. The front porch, enclosed with sheer covered screened windows faces west, north and south, and is furnished with resort like rattan furniture and makes for a lazy place to read and relax.
